The development and progress of democracy in
any country depend on independent media. An independent responsible, and
professional media is the backbone of any democracy. The role of media is to
criticize, inform, excite, and stimulate debate. Media should spread and
provide pure and hundred percent accurate information to the public.
The Press Information Department is the
important and primary department of the Ministry of Information &
Broadcasting. It is headed by the Principal Information Officer (PIO) who works
under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. PID is working since 1947
and its mission is to establish an accurate and authentic source for well-timed
diffusion of information to people through every form of media.
Online applications are invited for filling up

The positions will be purely on a contract basis, initially for a period of one
year, and will be extendable. It depends on the condition of satisfactory
